Merry and Pippin manages to get away from the Uruk-Hai when the riders of Rohan shows up. Unfortiently they ascapes into the Fangorn wood, it's said in tales that the trees are alive here, and it's a scary place fore little hobbits to be. And when they meet the living tree, that actully is an Ent, called Treebeard they goes even deeper into the woods. There they meet the new Gandalf, Gandalf The White. Treebeard takes them even longer in the woods. There Merry and Pippin manages to make the ents have a meeting about the upcoming war and if they will agree that the small fellows actully are hobbits not orcs. And hobbits they are, but the ents won't go to war, before they see what Saruman has done to the other ents. The ents are now turning against Isengard and destroyes the place with releacing the river.
